VariKont sensor, suitable for Zone 2 and Zone 22
Inductive sensors for use in Zone 2/Zone 22 in hazardous areas are not limited to the chemical and petrochemical industries. They are also used in the food and automobile industries.
The range of suitable sensors with 3G/3D-examination certificate runs from cylindrical designs of various lengths and sizes in a stainless steel housing for flush and non-flush installation, to the new Varikont® sensors and the F31 double sensors for position monitoring on rotary drives. For the electronic output stages, 2-wire and 3-wire DC output stages are used.
The sensors are suitable for both Zone 2 (Ex nA) in compliance with the currently valid standards EN60079-0:2006, EN60079-15:2005 as well as for Zone 22 (Ex tD) as per EN61241-0:2006, EN61241-1:2004.
