Fieldbus Foundation India Committee Elections

Fieldbus Foundation
The Fieldbus Foundation India Committee (FFIC) announced its new Steering Committee Members for the period September 2009 – December 2011.

Thampy Mathew, Regional Sales Director for the Middle East and India has again been elected as Chairman, FFIC. The Steering Committee consists of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. These positions are filled by elected nominees from the 22 Member Companies that are registered with FFIC.

FFIC was launched on 23 May 2007, in Bangalore, India. FFIC goals are to educate and promote FOUNDATION fieldbus technology to Indian industries through vendor-neutral marketing and training activities. These include seminars, trade shows, exhibitions and end user demonstrations.

Meeting on a monthly basis, FFIC exceeded their expectations in organizing a wide range of fieldbus-related activities, including major end user events and technology conferences. This has resulted in Indian industries embracing the new Fieldbus Foundation technology in upcoming projects.

FFIC was also instrumental in organizing the Fieldbus Foundation India End User Council (FFIEUC). Today, it has become a very enthusiastic group of 400 technocrats from over 50 end user companies located throughout India. FFIC will continue to plan various events and conferences for these end users. For more information about FFIC, please visit www.fieldbus.org and click the India icon under "Global – Asia Pacific".
