The New Vision Sensors in the Series VOS300

Complex in performance – simple to handle

VOS312 – The small, but highly intelligent package
The VOS300 Series Vision Sensors close the gap between standard photoelectric sensors and expensive vision systems by employing a powerful and flexible solution.

While traditional sensors merely detect the presence or absence of an object, vision sensors detect a number of attributes with a single device. Vision sensors are able to detect information not uniformly distributed, such as the expiration date on a package, or the presence and verification of pills in a blister pack.

One vision sensor can replace a number of photoelectric sensors. As with all products from Pepperl+Fuchs, vision sensors in the VOS300 series are constructed to be reliable, flexible and easy to integrate in applications.

The intuitive operator interface enables the sensor to be easily adjusted for a particular task, even without programming skills or image processing experience. This allows presence and completeness checks, detection of position and shape comparison to be executed efficiently and at minimal expense.

In addition, the possibility of combining up to 5 different methods of evaluation leads to increased certainty of detection. High resolution (640*480 pixels), protection classification IP67 and Ethernet and RS422 interface complete the features of this outstanding vision sensor.

In many detection applications the user needs to execute a number of tasks simultaneously or sequentially, with a single sensor. The new VOS302 and VOS312 vision sensors offer this function. These sensors have the following attributes:

  • Up to 16 jobs can be stored and called up on one sensor
  • Convenient job management
  • Jobs can be activated directly through the control system without using a computer

The new VOS302 and VOS312 vision sensors can individually handle many detection tasks, which previously would have required the use of many vision sensors or vision systems.
